Werd...
Been a long while since some science was dropped in ye ol blog here, so I thought I would give the low down to all the faith followers (now in the thousands haha).
Well, The Shibs rocked the hell out of Stella's last night. Andy's new song rocks so hard your face will melt. I never understood that saying, but all the kewl kids tell me that is good. *shrug* Steady Hands. I've been blessed to play with alot of musicans over the years, but to come up with a song on Tuesday, run through it only a handful of times, then rock it out on Friday night is just awesome.
After 4 months of trying, I've learned to circular breathe which allows me to play the didj without ever stopping to breathe. Really screws with your head, as you know you need to be breathing out to make sound out of the didj, yet your breathing in while doing it. Wierd. Never the less, the didj made the debut last night and people totally dug it, I personally think they just dug Andy's song, but I get to cross the "play an aborginal instument in a modern band" goal off the list.
Couple other things to note....
1) I'm working on all the photos from tour and over the last couple of gigs of 08. I'll get them to Hark this week so y'all can check em out... Finally.
2) The lay off of not playing for a couple of weeks was oddly brutal. You get used to rockin out and when you can't, creative energies have to go elsewhere. Let's just say the dog has some sweet knitted booties. Well not really, but I should just stick to rockin out.
3) Big stuff comin down the pipe in 09 for the Shibs. Next gig will be on the Urban Theater TV show, and we will be walkin on stage at the Majestic Theater in short order.... what a ride.. Can't wait.
Well I hope you all are having a good year so far... After all, on the 20th our 8 year nightmare was over, doesn't mean he is perfect, but the restoration of law and the constitution was long overdue.... indictments anyone?
